This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is handled in the AccountVault mobile application ("App").

Data Storage and Security
Your data is yours. We built AccountVault with your privacy as a top priority. All financial data you enter into the App (including accounts, transactions, invoices, etc.) is stored **locally on your device** in a secure database. We, the developers of AccountVault, do not have access to, collect, or store any of your personal financial information on our servers.
Cloud Backup (Google Drive)
The App offers an optional feature to back up your database to your personal Google Drive account. This process is initiated entirely by you.
- The connection to your Google Drive is handled securely through Google's official Sign-In and Drive APIs.
- Your database file is uploaded directly from your device to your personal Google Drive storage space.
- We do not have access to your Google account or any of the files stored in your Drive, including the backup file. Restoring a backup is also a process that you control entirely.
App Functionality and License Management (Firebase Services)
To provide certain features and enhance app functionality, we use services from Google's Firebase platform. The data collected by these services is essential for the app to function correctly and securely.

Manual Activation Data (Firebase Firestore): For users who opt for manual license activation, we collect and store your device's unique identifier and any personal information you provide (such as your name) on secure Google Cloud servers via Firebase Firestore. This data is used exclusively for license management, fraud prevention, and to allow you to transfer your license to a new device.

Analytics and Performance (Firebase Analytics): We use Firebase Analytics to understand how our app is used in order to improve user experience. This service may automatically collect data such as approximate location, device type, operating system, and engagement metrics. This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you.

Crash and Error Reporting (Firebase Crashlytics): To ensure app stability, we use Firebase Crashlytics to identify, track, and fix crashes and errors. This service automatically collects information related to crashes, including device state, device or other identifiers, and software version.

While AccountVault does not collect your financial data, we use third-party services that may collect information for the purposes described above.

App Permissions
AccountVault requests the following permissions only when needed to perform specific actions initiated by you:
- Read Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): To allow you to optionally import customer or supplier information from your device's contacts, making data entry faster. We do not access your contacts unless you use this specific feature.
- Camera (CAMERA): To allow you to optionally set a company logo by taking a new photo. The camera is only activated when you choose this option.
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): To enable the "Speech-to-Text" feature. The microphone is only active when you press the microphone icon to dictate text. The audio is processed by the device's built-in speech recognition service.
- Biometric (USE_BIOMETRIC): To secure the app with your fingerprint or face ID as an alternative to a password. Biometric data is stored securely on your device and is not accessible by the app.
Children's Privacy
Our services do not address anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
